People and pet safety are our number one priority.
In September 2012, we received some positive test results for salmonella and were inspected by the FDA. We submitted a corrective action plan to the FDA in response to their observations. All corrective measures were implemented immediately and we participated in a voluntary recall.
In November 2012 our plant was inspected and reviewed by a third party auditors. We scored 97 % as a human grade facility.
FDA re-inspected our facility in February of 2013 and again in November of 2013. FDA took an extensive number of product samples. All product samples tested negative for salmonella.
To further ensure that all of our products are safe every batch of product leaving our facility is tested prior to shipping by independent outside labs.
We do not recommend the larger chew-type treats for dogs under 6 month of age and suggest that all dogs be supervised while having treats. A dog may try to swallow the entire piece without chewing if it feels nervous about having it taken away by humans or other dogs. To prevent obesity, treats should make up no more than 10% of your dog’s daily diet.
